• 🚀🧪 If you're running on a custom domain, including the Scribbles sub-domain, you can now access your site admin panel by appending /admin to the URL — behind the scenes it will run your blog as a custom URL — that means you can keep logged in on that site without issue. This is still experimental and am looking for feedback as you use it. Authentication only works for your blog in question. Sign up and other auth related logic will not work on custom domains — only on scribbles.page. If you have multiple blogs you can still manage these on a site by site basis and of course on the main scribbles.page domain as always — no changes to this. This is optional and not required to use Scribbles in any way.

• ✨ You can now change your blog slug if you need to — this does not affect custom domains really.
• ✨ You can also now easily activate your given blog slug as a subdomain with ease, without having to worry about DNS settings or otherwise.
• 💅 Regarding blog slugs, it now gives you some suggestions also that you can quickly use if you so wanted — or add your own. I like the random generated ones, but don't blame you for wanting to change anything.

• 🐛 Fixed an issue where a shared draft URL would throw an error when you had the "Send a Scribble" enabled.

• 🎆 Fixed an issue with the Scribbles default favicon being loaded when a feed reader would ignore what was set on your blog — it is now blog aware and redirects the default favicon to the correct one if you have an image set. Thanks Nick!

• ✍️ When you receive a "scribble" via email and click the link, it will now take you to the Incoming Scribbles screen instead, with it correctly filtered and shown. This is good in general and improves the experience when you have multiple blogs.
• ✨ When your blog isn't discoverable on the Explore page we show a small call to action to add it — however you can also dismiss this notice on a blog by blog basis if you have multiple. Just nice to have. Click on "Dismiss" and you're done.
• ✌️ You can now cancel and resume subscription from within the billing page without having to go to the hosted billing portal.
• 🧹 If you're on a trial it's now clearer when the trial ends and your subscription starts.

• ✨ Added a few options to the explore page, when logged in, that allows you to see more details about a given blog and also surface the RSS feed. In addition to this, you're now able to hide blogs that don't interest you — bring them back any time on your account page.

• 🔀 If you're logged in and on the Explore page, you can load up a random post or blog if they are discoverable. I might expand this to other non-logged in visitors — just want to test and see how that works out. Great for exploring the small web.

• 🐛⏱️ Improved the way the RSS feeds update when you have a scheduled post.

• ✌️ I re-added the lifetime plan option, after having removed it for some time. Thanks to all for asking me to do that. If you are subscribed already to a monthly/yearly you can still grab the lifetime plan.

• 🧹 Tweaked the padding in the editor when on mobile screens so you have a bit more space.

• ✨ Enabled the new editor for everyone now. Thank you to all for your feedback over the past months. If you see anything, just let me know.
• 🧹 Re-added missing post options when editing a post or working with a draft, re-enabling the ability to change URLs and share posts that are in a draft state.

• 🐶 Tweaked wording for the Small Web section so it's clearer what this is. "Kagi Small Web is an initiative by Kagi to humanize the web" — with links to the actual Small Web site.

• ❤️ Tweaked the footer icons for small web to link to the Kagi Small Web site instead of the GitHub repo.
• 💅 Also, icons you upload yourself are not linked to Small Web — only when you choose them from the Small Web gallery.

• 🔐 You can now transfer your session to another device, without having to enter your email & password. Just head on Login & Security, and you'll see the "Devices" section with a one time code to use. Don't share this of course. You can also scan a QR code on your phone and it will do it for you.

• 🐛 Fixed a bug when some images didn't load because we didn't recognise the format.

• 🐛 Fixed an issue when you used single line breaks using the new editor, where the lines actually didn't break on your blog.

• 🐛 Fixed a small issue where when you had comments enabled by Micro.blog and it showed "comments by micro.blog" when no comments were shown.

• ❤️ Added a new section in blog settings called "Small Web", which shows info about the Kagi Small Web initiative and allows you to add icons to your footer.

• ✌️ In addition to the above, you can now also add your very own icons to show in the footer — just upload them or use the small web ones. You can find these sections in Nitpick and Small Web.

• 🫧 You can now set individual categories to be ephemeral instead of all posts — great for categories that are meant to be fire and forget type posts, that don't need to hang around too much.
• 📰 Added extra settings for the Buttondown integration allowing you to change the title and add a short description.

• ⚡️ There is a new "Actions" blog settings that, for now, enables sending a PING to Micro.blog to fetch your latest posts and get it into the timeline quicker.

• ✌️ Added a proper Archive Kit to backups, so you now get CSV, JSONL, and bookmark exports out of the box (great for Raindrop/EagleFiler and general peace of mind).
• 🔗 Exported posts now include cleaner canonical links, so sharing/moving your posts keeps pointing to the right place.
• 📦 Archives are now much easier to reuse — you can pull your archive data in formats that are actually useful.
• 🔎 Search across your archive got a nice bump: faster and generally better at finding what you meant.
• 🧭 Added browser search support (OpenSearch), so your blog archive can be searched more directly from compatible browsers.
• 🔐 Private blogs still behave as expected: archive exports stay protected behind your privacy/passcode settings.

• ✌️ Added support for adding a Buttondown newsletter subscribe form to the footer of your website, just visit "Reply by Email, Newsletter & Form" on your blog settings page and set your username.

• 👾 When using your feeds for categories or main feed across third-party services, like Micro.blog, and you have the option to show a "Reply by email" set up in your feeds, you can now include ?no_email to disable showing this with any given feed.

• 🐛 Fixed an issue when viewing and exporting posts in markdown when using the new editor.

• 🥴 Fixed an issue that would return a 404 error when a web uptime monitor would hit your blog. Sorry. No actual downtime happened (because that's not how I roll).

• 🐛 Fixed an issue with auto-save creating drafts of the post you just published.

• ✨ You now create a new category straight form the new post editor. Just click on the "new" button, add a name, create —> and then select it. Easy. If you don't yet have the new editor enabled (enabled by default for new accounts), you can do so from your account settings page.

• ✌️ Added some random quotes on Explore. Keep you motivated.
• ... of note — if you are still using the original editor, I will be switching over to the new one come end of February.
