[in the works]
I'm adjusting this page so to have something nice to read for you.
I come from a first experience of Microsoft Windows environments. In 1999, when I first had a PC at home, my choice was with and assembled machine brought by one of the first on-line sellers here in Italy. It was the time of the Apple's 5 flavours iMac and the coming of the cd/dvd slot on them.
At the time I did not know anybody using it, and the price
difference was significant, so I went with a PC.
At university I came familiar with GNU/Linux and then lived in a dual boot world for some time. In 2006, with Intel CPU's coming to Apple – with Tiger as an operating system – with my first savings I brought a MacBook. It was love at first sight.
Since then I live in the Apple's hardware & software ecosystem, and have collected many of their products.
The hardware
So today, as you can see by reading this previous post, I am
using a Intel i9 powered MacBook Pro 16", a
MacMini with M2 Pro silicon with a Benq
DesignVue PD2705U, with Apple's keyboard and Magic Mouse. I do
have a Logitech MX-2 and a plain (cabled one) mouse for emergencies. But
I'm to accustomed to gestures, so I do not really use them.
I listen music with two couples of HomePod and HomePod Mini when I'm in
the mood, and use Synology DS213 as a local back-up system. Along with
many other external drives. My printer is an HP OfficeJet Pro
7720 Epson WF-4820.
The software
Today my situation is described on this my
App Defaults post on my old WordPress.com powered blog. A
couple of small things have changed, but nothing special (I switched
away from using nvAlt, basically, and now I am searching for a
multi-platform alternative).
That's all (at least for now).
