A Detective! In Space! 🕵️‍♀️🌌

I've decided I want to write a mystery in a sci fi setting, combining my love of mysteries and science fiction.

With respect to mysteries, I particularly love old detective, noir-type stories that have a dose of cheeky humor in them. Not wholly hard-boiled. Medium-boiled? Like the book and movie The Thin Man, and the classic radio show Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar (especially Bob Bailey's interpretation of the character). 

So something in those veins.
