Lifetime plan & looking ahead

Today I am bringing back the Lifetime plan deal for Scribbles. A lot of folks have asked for this, so it's back!

The lifetime plan starts at a suggested $229/once and you can pay more if you'd like 😄. It's a great deal, and is equivalent to roughly 4 years of the yearly plan ($50/year).

There are way too many subscriptions in life so it's always a fine balance, whilst also giving people great value. If you're subscribed and want to switch, please just get in touch and I'll get you sorted.

Lifetime member perks

I want to do something a little different and have been thinking about this for some time now... and I am ready to tease you with what is in store. However know that the timelines might shift as I don't yet know and wanted to just give you a "I'm thinking of this for a while now".

For any lifetime purchase, including past lifetime members, I will be providing a self-hosted version of Scribbles that you can run on your very own server. How that looks like, I have no idea. Right now the plan is to allow you to have the one blog, with the near same functionality you have now (whilst keeping things light and simple), but all local to your very own server. It'll contain an admin panel and the same options you find now for your blog. You will also have access to the source so you can tweak it to your very own needs.

Lifetime members should expect a version 1 of this and you will be eligible for the current major version. Any subsequent major releases (version "2") would have a small upgrade price — how that will look and details of that will follow some time in 2025.

I will be working on the self hosted version next year, 2025, and will provide updates on this as I work on it. As I said, I don't yet know when that will be ready.

You will need some technical knowledge on getting it hosted yourself, however I will provide some tutorials with videos to get everyone started.

Note that this version will have a license attached to it and is intended only for you ✌️

You can now create up to 5 blogs, up from the 3. That's it, nothing more here.

Looking ahead

I'm putting this here because I want to hold myself accountable — next year I might be working on a Pro version which will be an optional extra (via subscription — I KNOW!) that will enable some extra tools for you.

There are many things I still like to do and want to see myself.
