Blogging is like playing The Sims

The Sims (and the many sequels) is a video game that lets you create virtual people and give them a virtual life. I find that reading blogs is kind of the same. Admittedly there are not so many instances of people setting their kitchens on fire after attempting to cook something in real life but it’s nice to check in on these people to see what they have been up to. Even if it’s pretty mundane (much like this blog!). There’s also something reassuring about reading people’s blogs - like the world is still turning.
