Scribbles ("the Service") is provided by Vincent Ritter Consulting ("the Provider"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, Use Restriction Policy, and Copyright & DMCA pages.

Description of Service

Scribbles is a blogging platform. Depending on your plan and settings, features may include:

Creating and managing one or more blogs (subject to plan limits), with posts, pages, drafts, scheduled publishing, categories, media, themes, and custom domains.
Privacy and discoverability controls (including private passcode-protected blogs, explore/discovery settings, and per-post indexing options).
Feeds, sitemaps, import/export, backups, and optional analytics on public blogs.
Account tools such as passkeys, API access (JSON API and Micropub), collaborators via invitation, and short replies ("Scribbles") on posts where enabled.
Optional third-party embeds you configure on your blog (for example comments, contact forms, newsletters, or analytics).

Features may change over time. Not every feature is available on every account.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account, including activity by collaborators you invite. You must provide a valid email address and keep it up to date. We may require email confirmation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our use restrictions.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create and publish with the Service. You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, transmit, and back up that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and for having the rights to post it. You can export your content and delete your account; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.

Prohibited Activities

Accounts found to contain or facilitate illegal activities will be terminated immediately without prior notice. We reserve the right to report such activities to relevant authorities.

Any attempts to compromise or harm our servers or other customers are strictly prohibited. Account holders are responsible for all activities conducted through their accounts. Additional restrictions are set out in our Use Restriction Policy.

Service Discretion

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service at our sole discretion, including for abuse, non-payment, or risk to the Service or other users.

Subscription and Pricing

You may use a limited free allowance (currently up to 25 posts per blog) without a paid subscription. Paid plans ("Scribbles Unlimited") unlock additional capacity such as more blogs and unlimited posts. Plans may include monthly, yearly, and (when offered) lifetime options. New monthly and yearly subscriptions usually include a 30-day free trial. Current prices are shown at checkout and may change as described below.

New paid checkouts are handled by Stripeopen in new window. Some existing lifetime or legacy orders were processed through Lemon Squeezyopen in new window. We do not store your payment card details on our servers. Charges on your statement may appear under a Scribbles-related descriptor (for example via Stripe).

We may modify subscription fees with at least 30 days' notice by email before changes take effect for renewing subscriptions. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the modified fees. You may cancel before the change takes effect.

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund policy on initial payments. Contact [email protected] to request a refund.

Cancellation

You may cancel a subscription from your billing settings (or via the relevant payment provider portal for legacy orders). After cancellation, you keep access to your data. We continue to host published content for a limited time and will notify you before we stop hosting your site. We may mark inactive accounts for deletion after a defined period as set out in our notifications; you may reactivate before that date when offered.

Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and without warranty. We make no warranty that the service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any errors will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

You expressly agree to release Vincent Ritter Consulting, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, representatives, employees, partners and licensors from any and all liability connected with your activities. In no event shall we be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service.

Liability

You agree that we are not liable to you or to any third party for damages of any kind that result from the use of the Services, inability to access data, or unauthorized access of your data or account. We are also not liable for damages of any kind related to actions of any third party that uses the Services, or any other consequences related to the Terms or the Services. This includes third-party services you choose to embed or connect on your blog.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us and our subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, representatives, employees, partners and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post, transmit or otherwise make available through Scribbles, your use of the Service, your connection to the Service, your violation of the Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

Terms Acceptance

By activating an account, you acknowledge and accept these terms and policies. We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
