My art, where it’s headed and what my plans are
ArtblogWhere my art is currently at:
I had gotten back into drawing into a regular basis since 2007 but since 2020, I had been taking sketchbooks more seriously and wanted to take it on a professional level.
Since then I am currently on my 8th sketchbook but in April, I’ll be working on a 9th one which will be on a rendr sketchbook, my challenge is to use markers more just to figure out color theory and character design.

I hope I will commit to this challenge, right now I’m on the Stillman and Birn Zeta series and I swear by them but the Rendr books are perfect for marker art as there is no bleed on the back or next pages.
Comic art and where it’s headed:
Since 2021, I wanted to take my art and sell stickers, prints or originals but sadly after 3 years, I am still on square 1 and unfortunately as I look at my sketchbooks from 2021, it looks awful compared to my current sketches.
However, I can say that I have improved since those couple of years.
I recently kinda redid a sketch done in 2019 and really tell a difference

In the future, I will redo the original 2019 sketchbook sketch in a small comic form.
I recently found more older stuff I may consider redrawing, that purpose is to see if I really improve.
Plans for the future:
Just recently I had restarted my social media platforms and deleted any personal accounts and focus strictly on art. I recently got betrayed by a person who I thought was a best friend and was my long time crush. It’s a long story but this moved me to focus on myself and stop using social media to do basic socialization and focus on a career where I can be happy.
Right now, I am not happy with where my life is, I did not imagine being 40 and broke with only a part time job, that graphic design degree got me nowhere.
Since I love drawing and art, especially comic art, I have new dreams and goals to pursue.
My goal is to start making small pieces for now and then go larger, I had 4 years trying out different art supplies and now it’s truly time to start getting myself out there.
That sketchbook challenge I’m doing in April is a step in the right direction, also my current sketchbook goals was also doing comics and more OC’s
