Weekend Happenings
Not a lot going on this weekend, but my wife and I did get some extra time with the kids Friday night and Saturday morning since they were stuck here due to the snow. After returning them to their other parents' houses on Saturday afternoon, we spent some time with the dogs and then headed to Capital One Hall in Tyson's, VA for the Fortune Feimster comedy show.
We were told not to take pictures and videos during the show, but if you've never seen a Fortune Feimster comedy special, I highly recommend it. She has a few on Netflix. If you get the opportunity to see her live in a smallish venue, absolutely do it. The energy in the room as she's telling one of her hilarious stories is palpable. My wife and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. We also haven't paid $12 for a beer in a long time (or maybe ever) but that's how it goes at these things. Anyway, it was worth the drive and the expensive beers because we had a fantastic time.
Today, after getting some chores done, we unloaded the Girl Scout cookie orders from my stepdaughter's troop and sorted them out by cookie flavor. We'll have the girls in the troop come over and pull together their orders for their friends and family. My stepdaughter alone sold 133 boxes! So they've got their work cut out for them.
I'll be spending the rest of the day wiping the NVME drive on my little Acer laptop and reinstalling Fedora, and also testing various self-hosted bookmarking solutions including Nextcloud Bookmarks and Linkwarden. I might even find a little time to play the new Final Fantasy VII mode in Apex Legends.
