Gardening - Day 2
DIYA new day, a fresh breeze of wind and a fresh mind to tackle this garden. In my last post I talked about how I started my first every gardening experience. Took out some nasty roots and was left with a big pile of garden waste as well as one giant stump of root.
That giant root was removed and out of the soil. This was a relief as now the only task was to not only clean up all the garden waste but also just trim the hedges on the walls eventually.
I ordered the night before a container for garden waste to be dropped off within my driveway, thinking 3 cubic meters would be enough and large I was happy. When I woke up in the morning, that 3 cubic meters did not look as big as I had thought :).
So I came up with a plan that if I cut every piece of trim into small pieces, basiclly fine cut them it would mostly fit(?). Thus began hauling branches, leaves, roots into this container.
Piece by piece, it started filling up. Started at around 09:30, the container was pretty much full at around 12:30 give or take
.The sight of the back yard garden was pretty nice, most of the garden waste was gone, what was left was some rotten wood and the hedges that overgrown, but there was no more space for it sadly.
I left the roots of those as is since in about 3-4 weeks a gardener will be coming by to discuss what we should plant from the local plants that will help the local wild life, so that garden will also help take out the hedges and trim them while also being able to take the garden waste directly!
All in all, it was a nice experience. Would I do it again? Fuck no. Am I glad I did it? Hell yeah. Am I going to enjoy summer in my backyard? For sure!
Until next time,
