Snowy Day

I used to love the snow when I was younger. It’s funny how all that changes when you become an adult and you have to deal with traveling in it. I live in Tennessee and we have very little infrastructure in place to maintain the roads when we have winter weather events. I have a 30 minute commute on a good day.

This morning I woke up to around 4 inches of snow on the ground which isn’t a whole lot but when the roads have barely been cleared off it makes the commute very stressful. Fortunately I made it with no issues but the roads were awful as it looked like they were barely touched.

The commute home wasn’t any better and actually worse because it snowed most of the day and had covered everything that was cleared off this morning. Thank goodness there were very few people on the road. Unfortunately I’ll be back at again tomorrow and I’m not excited.
