Alt Numbers.
GobbledygookGrowing up in a Spanish-speaking Coloni Country, Puerto Rico,
when I started learning computers there were a few keyboard shortcuts I
had to learn. Shortcuts that these days I barely ever use and yet they
are engraved in my brain still.
- Alt + 160 = á
- Alt + 130 = é
- Alt + 161 = í
- Alt + 162 = ó
- Alt + 163 = ú
- Alt + 129 = ü
- Alt + 164 = ñ
- Alt + 165 = Ñ
- Alt + 168 = ¿
Though I do remember these very well, what I don't
remember well and have trouble with, is remembering the grammatical
rules on when to properly use the accents. Something that two of my
aunts would be very disappointed (perhaps even furious 😅) to
hear.
They were Spanish Teachers.
