A band I liked
Something I LikedAs per usual, I spent most of my workday either listening to podcasts or music. Yesterday specifically, I had this song stuck in my head about a band I know I like very much and can’t ever remember its name. Always remember the artwork and part of the lyrics of one of their song but can’t remember their name.
Anyway, eventually I remembered, it was the album, The Bright Light Social Hour by The Bright Light Social Hour which I hope I won’t forget this time around, we shall see.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but if there’s a band I am into, in Apple Music, I tend to scroll down to the Similar Artists section and look for recommendations. That led me to, All Them Witches.
About them, from Apple Music,
A versatile hard rock quartet based out of Nashville, Tennessee, All Them Witches draw from a deep well of musical inspiration that includes Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath, Sun, Moon & Herbs-era Dr. John, and the electric Delta swamp blues of Junior Kimbrough. Employing a heady, D.I.Y. blend of bluesy, neo-psychedelic rock, stoner metal, and progressive space rock, they emerged in 2012 with the independently released Our Mother Electricity. They continued to hone their unique meld of crafted songwriting and spacious grooves on subsequent outings like Sleeping Through the War (2017) and ATW (2018). They kicked off the 2020s with the release of their critically acclaimed sixth set Nothing as the Ideal.
Not sure if I am
late to the party or not but I am now obsessed
with this band, especially their album, Nothing
as the Ideal - All Them Witches
They kind of slap!
