Memory Making Fudge Frosting

Cakes and Icing

.5 cup of butter or margarine
.5 cup of Hershey's Cocoa
3 2/3 cup (1 pound box confectioner's sugar)
5 to 6 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Melt butter or margarine over low heat in a small saucepan, add cocoa.

  2. Cook, stirring constantly, just until the mixture begins to boil.

  3. Remove from heat, pour into small mixer bowl.

  4. Add confectioner's sugar alternately with milk.

  5. Beat to spreading consistency, blend in vanilla.

  6. Spread frosting while warm.

Makes about 2 cups of frosting.
