Banana Bread

Breads

2 cups plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine or butter
3 medium size very ripe bananas (mashed)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup or more of pecans or walnuts (can use combination of nuts)


1. Cream sugar and margarine together.

  1. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

  2. Add the mashed bananas to this creamed mixture.

  3. Sift in flour, salt and soda.

  4. Mix well and add nuts. May omit nuts if desired.

  5. Bake in two 1 pound loaf pans, or bundt pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
