Angels on Horseback


1 pint oysters
Salt and pepper to taste
Thin sliced bacon

  1. Sprinkle oysters with salt, pepper, and paprika
  2. Wrap a slice of bacon around each oyster and secure it with a wood toothpick.
  3. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place unwrapped oysters on a rack in a shallow pan and bake turning once until bacon is crisp on all sides, about ten minutes.
  4. Remove picks and serve. Makes about twelve servings.
