Lighthouse Park, Washington
My first adventure - Lighthouse Park in the City of Mukilteo, Washington. I found this beach by accident one day randomly driving around. This morning when I woke up I wasn't feeling the best and I remembered what my AK heartbeat is always saying - when you feel off, go to the water. So I did.
I spent the morning walking on the beach, looking for sea glass, and talking with my dearest on the phone. It was lightly raining, but it was refreshing. There were a few people on the walking path, but I was the only one on the beach... with the exception of the scuba diver. While I was talking to my dearest, a guy walked up in full head-to-toe scuba gear and a huge underwater camera. He smiled and then waddled into the water and disappeared. All I was thinking was brrr, but he looked so excited to be in the water. Good for him!
After looking for sea glass for an hour I went back to my van and ate breakfast. The rain was significantly heavier now, and I was watching it slide down the windshield while listening to an audio book and eating a bagel. There was something renewing about watching the rain. I felt like my stress and tension from when I arrived was gone. I guess my AK heartbeat was right - when you feel off, you go to the water.
